Atlantis The Royal

This design marvel is expressed through a series of cascading “sky-courts” that open up to the sea beyond and double as beautifully landscaped terraces attached to executive suites – some of which contain infinity-edge pools, trellis-shaped decks, and unparalleled views of Dubai. The staggered layout ensures presidential and penthouse suites retain heightened privacy and remaining rooms have access to a dramatic pool deck off the adult lounge, as well as a hotel club and premiere rooftop restaurant. As Lead Architect, IBI Group worked with design Architects KPF to create the luxurious, mixed-use environment to elevate the resort guest experience to new and unique heights.

Though appearing as a singularly united structure, the Atlantis is actually two buildings seamlessly connected – with the hotel tower to the west and residential tower to the east – linked by a strong arch spanned by a connecting bridge and topped by beautiful pool. Hotel rooms and apartments are organized as a series of discrete modular blocks designed to accommodate distinct interior materials, temperatures and light levels customized for their inhabitants.   

The building’s 4 storey podium is like a building of its own. Consisting of a series of world renowned specialty chef restaurants, a world-class spa, and meeting facilities which are flanked by a grand ballroom. There are 8 luxury styled Townhouses that bring the residential tower down to grade. The Hotels’ beautiful main 3 story lobby is flooded with natural light and boast organically framed, divine, views of Palm Island and Dubai. At night, the building becomes even more striking as it illuminates from within, accentuating the soaring main arch rising above the complex as well as lighting multi-story aquariums and exciting fire & water features. Steps outside the Ground Floor lead to beautiful lagoons, pools, and beach space fronting the resort. Dining, retail, gardens, and other resort amenities fill adjacent spaces.
